With 626 players already signed up and more entries expected to happen, there are talks that the World Poker Tour Vietnam Main Event can even break the record as the most-attended WPT event in Vietnam. The current record is 777 entries for a single event, so this main event is not far behind.

The current most-attended main event in Vietnam numbered around 1,020 players and offered a prize pool of VN₫ 17.9 Billion. He hopes that by doing this, they can help make WPT Vietnam one of the biggest and most exciting poker events.

The evening satellite event also helped create more excitement as this side event offered up guaranteed seats for the main event. Originally they were only offering 5 seats up for grabs but later increased it to 20. This made it the highest-attended WPT Satellite event in Asia.

The buy-in for this highly anticipated tournament is estimated to be around VN₫ 25,000,000 (approximately US$ 1,065), offering players a shot at massive winnings.
