Singaporean poker star Alex Lee made history with his win in the recent China Poker Games (CPG). This event was held at Hotel Atlantis in Haitang Bay, Sanya Island, and its CPG Atlantis Main Event ran from May 13 to 19, 2023. While already impressive on its own, Alex Lee made history as he was the first foreigner to win this event. To accomplish this, Lee had to compete with over 1,205 entrees including many from China as well as pay a buy-in of CNY 12,000 (US$ 1,700).
All this trouble was worth it as he took home a prize of CNY 1.58 million (equivalent to approximately US$ 225,400).
