The Asian Pacific Poker Tour Cambodia has so far been an exciting event, offering huge prizes in exciting events. But the whole tournament is about to get a lot more exciting as after a week of preliminary games the APPT Cambodia Main Event is about to get started. This tournament was one of the most highly anticipated events of the whole event and it seems like it won’t disappoint.
The main event is expected to take place from May 12 to 15 in the luxurious Nagaworld Integrated Resorts. This hotel is one of the largest casinos in the country and is located in the capital, Phnom Penh. With everything from the beautiful scenery, the huge prize pool, and the exciting tournament, the APPT Cambodia Main Event is expected to be one of the highlights of this tournament and attract poker stars from all over the world.
APPT Cambodia Main Event Details
Many exciting details have been revealed even before the tournament began. One of the most thrilling is the massive prize pool expected to be given out. The tournament is offering an impressive US$400,000 guarantee for the main event. This makes it one of the highest prize pools in the entire tournament and is sure to get players and audiences alike excited for this game.
With such a large prize pool, it is unsurprising that the tournament also has a large buy-in cost for players looking to join in the fun. To enter the tournament, each player must pay an entrance fee of about $1,500. Even with such a big prize pool, only the top players are expected to make back their buy-in cost with their winning from the prize pool. That means competition is going to be strong as players are competing not just to win the trophy, but also to make back their investment.
The APPT Cambodia Main Event is a collaboration with Connaissance Management and will run for three days, meaning players will have three chances to join in, though they will need to provide a buy-in each time they sign up.
During the first two flights of the event, you’ll be able to play up to 13 levels with the blinds going up every 40 minutes or so. By the third flight, though the rules will change slightly. This third round is also a turbo, which means the blinds will go up every 20 minutes to provide an extra challenge. But if you are lucky enough to make it through these events and into Day 2, the pace of the game will slow down and blinds will only increase every 60 minutes.
